Our client in Hong Kong will assign you to this position. They are a leading alternative investment firm focused on APAC, with a focus on private equity, real assets, and credit and markets.

Your Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Overseeing and executing infrastructure and cybersecurity projects within our organisation.
  • Developing and executing project plans, including defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements, allocate resources, and determine project priorities.
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within approved financial constraints.
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks or issues.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely project tasks and deliverables are completed.
  • Conducting regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Preparing and presenting project reports, including project status, milestones achieved, and key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in infrastructure, cybersecurity, and office renovation.
  • Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among project team members.
  • Continuously improving project management processes and methodologies, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • May extend project management responsibilities to other technology projects as needed.

Tier 1 Application Support

  • Provide timely and effective technical assistance and troubleshooting for end-users or internal teams in an organisation with software applications, systems, or technology solutions. This includes issue resolution, problem escalation, communication follow-up, and continuous improvement of application support processes.
  • Perform daily application checkouts required for start-of-day and end-of-day procedures.
  • Continuously monitor application performance and systems to identify and address potential issues or trends before they impact users.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identify the root causes, and develop solutions to resolve problems.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of support activities, including issues, solutions, and workarounds.
  • Collaborate with Tier 2 support teams to ensure timely and efficient problem resolution.

User Query Handling

  • Respond to user inquiries and provide clear and concise explanations or instructions.
  • Assisted and guided users with application functionality, navigation, and troubleshooting to minimise future issues.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate teams or individuals for further investigation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements for minor enhancements or projects.
  • Assist in implementing and testing small changes or enhancements to the applications.
  • Test software updates and new releases to ensure they do not introduce new issues or conflicts with existing solutions.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical feasibility, usability, and user experience input.

Documentation

  • Maintain and update support runbooks and other support documentation, contribute to user guides and knowledge base articles.
  • Document application configurations and customisations.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for application support.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in project management, preferably in infrastructure, cybersecurity, or office renovation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant application analysis experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with end-users.
