This Accountant role offers direct mentorship from experienced leaders, progressive client leadership opportunities, and exposure to automation and AI-driven, innovative systems, with a clear pathway to Senior Accountant and Finance Manager-level responsibility. They are seeking a highly accountable, proactive finance professional who takes ownership of outcomes and is motivated to grow into a client-facing leadership role over time. This is not a back-office number-crunching position; it is a delivery-focused role for someone who notices when things don’t look right, communicates early and clearly, enjoys improving systems, and is motivated to grow.
Your Responsibilities
Month-End Accounting & Reporting
- Own month-end close for assigned clients (progressively, depending on experience)
- Prepare financial reports and commentary
- Ensure reconciliations are complete and accurate
- Flag risks or anomalies proactively
Cash Management & Forecasting
- Prepare cash flow forecasts
- Identify variances and underlying causes
- Escalate risks early with proposed solutions
Client Engagement (Progressive)
- Draft and send routine client communications
- Participate in client meetings
- Over time, lead selected client check-ins (based on experience)
- Ensure no client is surprised by delays or issues
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies
- Improve workflows
- Contribute to automation initiatives
- Simplify reporting where possible

- Deliver work on time without reminders
- Proactively communicate if timelines are at risk
- Flag issues before client exposure

Your Background
- 3-5+ years accounting experience
- Strong Accountant ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a Senior role
- Technically capable but eager for ownership
- Thrives with guidance and feedback
- Calm, thoughtful, steady under pressure
- Motivated to build something, not just execute tasks
Systems Experience
- Xero (essential)
- Fathom (preferred)
- Karbon (preferred)
- Process documentation experience
- Some experience with budgets and forecasts or a willingness to learn
- Superior Excel skills
