In this position, you will be assigned to our client based in the US, an IT consulting firm (Managed Service Partner) located in Manhattan focusing on NYC-based small and medium businesses.
The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and financial management, and will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, reporting, and analysis for the organization.
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger entries
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
- Manage cash flow and monitor bank accounts, ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
- Coordinate and collaborate with external accountants and auditors for tax preparation, audits, and other financial reviews
- Oversee and manage the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Implement and maintain financial management software to streamline bookkeeping and reporting processes
- Provide financial guidance and support to the leadership team, enabling informed decision-making
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
- Working directly with our CEO to help grow the company
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; a professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial management, preferably in an MSP or technology-based organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as local, state, and federal tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
