Our Client

In this position, you will be assigned to our client, a Sydney-based company providing global port logistics solutions.  They develop and maintain a suite of tailored and integrated products to help streamline operations, enhance efficiency and optimize productivity throughout the supply chain. Their customers include shipping lines, port and terminal operators, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs, trucking companies, rail operators, importers and exporters.

About the role:

Reporting to the Cloud Team Leader you will be working with a team of systems administrators & cloud engineers to manage and maintain our infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies and real-time data. Collaborate with our teams to ensure best practices are maintained, good technical solutions are in place and provide third-level user support for all network and PC-related issues. You will be part of a fast-paced agile environment and required to deliver quality projects and services in accordance with company strategic timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L3 user support for all network and PC-related issues.
  • Develop and support the base infrastructure in AWS.
  • Tuning, troubleshooting, and on-call production support on infrastructure deployed in multi-AZ AWS environments on the EC2/on-premises, serverless and container platforms.
  • 24/7 monitoring of systems on rotating roster with other team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3-4 years’ experience as a Cloud Engineer or 3-4 years experience as Senior Windows Engineer
  • 2+ years’ experience in networking
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment with technical expertise in the Microsoft stack, including Azure, Intune, O365, and Windows servers.
  • Demonstrated network engineering delivery experience gained within large, complex environments.
  • AWS/Azure networking experience.
  • Understanding of VPC and networking concepts (transit gateway, routine, etc) within AWS.
  • Experience in infrastructure orchestration using CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Technical knowledge of AWS namely, RDS, VPC, EKS, ECS, Ec2, AWS CLI, S3, CloudWatch, etc.
  • AWS network configuration and security best practice.
  • Detailed experience in DNS and firewalls.
  • PowerShell scripting/python.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues within mixed software, hardware, network, and database environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to other teams on security-related matters.

Nice to have:

  • AWS solution architect certification.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate/Expert.
  • Azure or Office 365 Certification.
  • Ansible
