The Client 

A clearance service provider that helps businesses move goods smoothly across UK borders. They handle all the paperwork so every shipment is processed accurately and on time. 

The Role  

As a Data Entry Specialist, you are responsible for accurately processing UK import and export customs declarations by entering complex shipment data into a proprietary system. It involves maintaining shipment records, updating databases and spreadsheets, coordinating through email and occasional phone calls, and accessing UK port systems to ensure goods move smoothly across UK borders while meeting customs requirements. 

Your Responsibilities   

• Perform data entry of complex data into a proprietary system (drafting UK import and export customs declarations) 

• Access different UK port systems to link unique consignment & movement references 

• Understand the relationship between data elements 

• Reading and responding to emails 

• Occasional response to inbound calls 

• Maintain and update spreadsheets 

• Maintain and update standing data within the proprietary system 

• Comply with the Organization’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), including all applicable information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. 

Your Background   

• 3-5 years in a role understanding data elements and data  

• Background in logistics or import/export is an advantage 

• Experience in Wordpress is desirable 

• Highly organized with the ability to follow structured guidelines  

• Excellent written and verbal English capability 

• Comfortable answering or making voice calls 

• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
