Senior Technical Business Analyst

Your Responsibilities: 

The Senior Technical BA will join the client solutions/product team on a full-time basis. This will be liaising with global teams, internal and external clients and users to elicit and document business requirements for onboarding and integration. defects, enhancements, and features.  

The role responsibilities include: 

  • Customer-facing role.  
  • Actively communicate and respond to client needs and requirements in line with agile planning methodologies.  
  • Client onboarding and solutions management 
  • Client integrations scoping  
  • Developments of Statements of Work 
  • Work with regional Sales, Product and Development Leads to gather requirements and implement technical documentation to support the Product & R&D teams.  
  • Digital practices/ideas to bring to the table and not be afraid of challenging the status quo. 
  • Actively participate in the discussions on deliverables, estimates and commitments and develop using the latest technologies while following Agile methodologies (SAFe and SCRUM) 
  • Write and/or review functional and technical requirements specifications for the implementation. The acceptance criteria and/or test cases for these requirements should be clear and sufficient in detail for our test and development teams to execute. It would be ideal if you are familiar with given, when, and then syntax. 

Your Background: 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to support and manage client requirements. 
  • Agile project experience 
  • Experience in gathering, defining requirements and the creation of all related documentation (user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria using BDD format) 
  • Extensive experience in solution analysis and validation 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience working with business systems and functionality to support online websites, mobile applications, and retail store tools to provide value to our customers. 
  • Anticipates, identifies, and defines problems, seeks root causes and develops practical and timely solutions – Removes impediments and blockers for the team by anticipating, identifying, and identifying problems. Where possible seek root causes and developers practical and timely solutions. Or escalates appropriately. 
  • You should be comfortable with technical documentation including file formats, API documentation, and reading standards documentation (e.g. ISO). Whilst you don’t need to be a developer or architect you should be comfortable when discussing integration technologies (e.g. SFTP, email, API) and modern cloud. Comfortable creating diagrams to explain ideas, concepts, and flows when they would be easiest to digest than text alone.

  • Detail-orientated and able to act as a product owner in lieu of a product manager. Whilst you aren’t expected to act as a tester, you should feel comfortable testing the team’s work to ensure it meets the expected requirements. 

Nice to Have:  

  • Previous experience in software development  
  • End customer experience would be highly advantageous. 
  • Agile project management methods and tools (SAFE, SCRUM, JIRA, Confluence)
