A Decade of Stability
by Cherie, Human Resources Lead
It all started when my previous employer closed. Darn! Not again. It was my second redundancy experience in the history of my career. Beyond the “ca-ching, ca-ching,” there were doubts, oh yes, plenty of them. Although it was worrisome, Yempo CEO Michelle Fiegehen was there: positive, open, and approachable. She supported my previous employer through the transition.
Then, I got a contract with Yempo! My former employer even became a Yempo’s client of Yempo. That was the beginning of security, reliability, and steadiness. All synonymous, right? Well, that is what Yempo means to me.
Yempo was only in its first year when I joined, with two offices in Cebu, at Oakridge and AppleOne. The number of employees back then was nowhere near the total we have today. Yempo’ s progress has been inevitable. As the company grows, so do its people.
For 10 years as a client-facing Human Resources Lead, it hasn’t been a walk in the park. From payroll and recruitment to HR functions, I have learned, unlearned, and relearned. Oh yes, never a single boring day! Everything has been a challenge, but I had the privilege of learning from the greatest mentor. And with Yempo on the back end, everything was made possible, ensuring employees are well cared for, heard, and understood. Michelle and Yempo have been supportive throughout both my professional and personal journey. Hats off!
As someone who trusts and believes in Yempo, I hope the company will continue to work steadfastly toward its goals, even in the ever-challenging business world. As for me, I look forward to another decade of loyalty, professionalism, and excellence.
